How often do you find your body feeling stiff, your posture weighed down, or small aches limiting your freedom of movement? We often assume it’s normal — just part of everyday life. Yet there is a gentle and surprisingly effective approach that helps you reconnect with genuine well-being: the Feldenkrais Method.
Saturday, October 11 – 10:00 AM | PasseggiARS, Parco di Affaccio “Lungotevere delle Navi”
During our PasseggiARS walk, you’ll have the unique opportunity to experience a free guided session with an expert, surrounded by the natural beauty of Parco di Affaccio “Lungotevere delle Navi.”
What is the Feldenkrais Method?
Created by physicist and engineer Moshe Feldenkrais, this method is based on small, slow, intentional movements that help the brain discover new pathways for coordination and ease.
It’s not traditional exercise, nor an intense workout — it’s a journey that begins with listening to your body and leads you to move with greater fluidity, harmony, and pleasure.
Its philosophy is captured in a single key idea:
“When you know what you’re doing, you can do what you want.”
By understanding how we move, we can improve our quality of life, easing tension and reducing discomfort.
What are the main benefits?
The Feldenkrais Method is ideal for those who want to:
-
-
reduce muscle tension and pain caused by poor posture or everyday stress;
-
improve posture and mobility effortlessly;
-
enhance body awareness — perceiving the body in space and using it in a more natural, integrated way.
-
The Feldenkrais Method is suitable for everyone—regardless of age or physical fitness—because each person works within their own limits while discovering new possibilities for movement.
Why practice the Feldenkrais Method outdoors?
Taking a Feldenkrais session with one of our expert physiotherapists amidst nature enhances its benefits. Being in a green environment relaxes the mind, deepens and regulates breathing, and allows the body to naturally regain energy and harmony. Walking, listening, and moving slowly among the trees creates a unique experience, where physical well-being and inner balance come together.
The Feldenkrais session will be just one of the experiences offered during PasseggiARS, our mindful walking initiative dedicated to health and conscious movement. It’s an opportunity to take care of yourself, meet new people, and discover the many ways to move and feel good.
