Does this mean that modern plastic surgery techniques are not a one-size-fits-all solution for every woman?

“Exactly. There is no universal technique. Because we are advancing toward personalized medicine, every woman has a path best suited to her specific anatomy and expectations. Depending on the imperfection to be corrected, the right choice may sometimes be breast implants via classic augmentation mammoplasty. Other times, a breast lift (mastopexy) is necessary to reduce excess skin. Frequently, the best approach is a combined one: we pair alloplastic materials, such as implants, with the patient’s own autologous tissue.”

“The essential piece of advice is to remember that the procedure does not begin in the operating room, but during the very first medical consultation. That is when the foundation for therapeutic success is laid.
